Eat to the Beat

image

Do you remember the Blondie song Eat to the Beat? You know, the one about jumping and tippy tapping even when you’re yapping? Well…allow me to refresh your memory. The song is about how when you find yourself standing on the corner with a piece of pizza…you should just eat to the beat. So that is what I request you do once you decide to make this pizza. Gather your favorite toppings, turn on some good music, Blondie perhaps, and just. eat. to. the. beat. Simple, right?

Also, I find it useless to tell you exactly how much of each ingredient you will need. Instead, use this particular post to get your creative pizza juices flowing. It’s all up to you! Although, if you decide to use these ingredients, I don’t think anyone will be complaining. I did wheat pizza dough (less than $2 at Trader Joe’s) Chevre goat cheese, spinach, & jalapenos with a drizzle of fig balsamic on top. And on second thought, I will share one recipe with you…Rogulj family pizza sauce. You will need one can of tomato sauce, half a small can of tomato paste, olive oil, salt, pepper and sugar to taste. Start with garlic and a bit of olive oil in a sauce pan, add can of sauce, stir, then add the paste. The seasoning is all up to you—do you want a sweeter sauce or a saltier sauce? If you want it to have a creamy consistency, add some half and half or milk. Put the sauce on the pizza, followed by your toppings. Cook on 450 degrees for about ten minutes. Then, EAT!

Cheers!
