This weekend I met with my aunt and friend to attend the Gertrude Stein exhibit at the Jewish Contemporary Museum in downtown San Francisco. It was bright and beautiful outside and everyone seemed to be following the sun, which meant the busses were full and slow and swarming with dress-clad women and flip-flopping wearing men who were just as eager to get to their destinations as I was. After the exhibit (which was AMAZING) we wandered into a store for a nibble and some caffeine. What began as a seemingly cute shop with a quaint outdoor area, turned out to be the best chocolate experience…well…ever. Schoggi Imported Swiss Chocolates…I think I’m in love with you. I tried the Thai Princess which had a golden sphere atop rich chocolate ganache infused with Kirsch, a cherry liqeur and ohhh myyyyyy. All I know is that my repeated phrase throughout the thirty seconds that it took for me to devour the delectable treat was, ” I don’t want it to end. Let’s buy more.” So really…go buy some. And then buy some more. And make sure to buy extras for when the “some more” chocolates run out. Because yes, they will. And yes, you will want more.
Cheers!
